Product Announcement: HYSON Transitions Surface Finish from Silver to Black
We are announcing a change to our products- improvements to better serve our customers.
At HYSON, we’re always working to improve the way we deliver value — whether that’s through innovation, service, or efficiency. As part of our ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction and manufacturing excellence, we are announcing an update to our nitrogen gas springs:
Effective July 1st, 2025, HYSON will begin the transition of the surface finish of our gas springs from silver to a black color.
When can you Expect to see the Change
After this transition period, you can expect to see the new black colored Hyson springs- however, due to stocking, there will likely be a delay period.
Why the Change?
This change is being implemented to enhance our production efficiency while maintaining the same quality and performance you’ve come to expect from HYSON products. The black finish offers the same characteristics to the silver finish — including:
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- High-quality durablility and reliability
- Top-tier safety
What Is the Black Finish?
It is a result of the surface treatment process that produces a matte-black color. This process improves wear life and surface protection — all without changing the core geometry of the part.
This is simply a visual difference from the traditional silver and does not impact function, fit, form, quality, or performance.
What This Means for You
- No changes to part numbers, dimensions, or performance
- No change in company & quality standards, approvals, and certifications (PED)
- No interuptions or delays in your orders
- Visual appearance will differ — function will not
